SHARING A TRUE LOVE OF NATURE
Come let Johel be your guide and share with you what is the incredible biodiversity that makes up Costa Rica
If you ask Johel about his childhood, he’ll probably reflect on some wild story where he went traipsing through jungles near his house barefoot (not recommended!), climbed trees to eat fresh water apples (manzanas de agua) until he had a bellyache, or explored rivers at age seven to fish with friends.
Once he had his own family, his own wife would often jokingly chastise him for taking family strolls without taking a single picture of his kids, but 100 pictures of plants, fungi and birds!

His genuine appreciation and love of nature, Costa Rican wildlife, and the region's geography go back to his childhood memories - falling in love with the nature around him. The frogs, insects, sloths, monkeys, iguanas, and birds that he remembers being fascinated are now what he loves to identify, learn about, and share with visitors today.
